If you live in the city limits and do not have a contained fire pit you can obtain a burning permit at Town Hall at 45 Everett Sreet.
To have water services turned on at a location you must come to Town Hall at 45 Everett Street and fill out an application and pay a deposit.
Water services can be turned on/off Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Garbage pick up is for residents inside city limits only. Garbage will be picked up at the curb of State and Town roads. No service is provided on private roads.
For residental services garbage is picked up on Thursday's and Friday's of every week using the Tuckaseigee River that flows through the middle of Bryson City as the dividing point.
Thursday's schedule is all residents on the same side of the Tuckaseigee River as the Post Office, Administration Building, and the Swain County High School.
Friday's schedule is all residents on the same side of the Tuckaseigee River as Main Street, the Federal Building and, the Swain County Middle School.
